Brennan's surgery and pumpkin patch

Brennan had his surgery yesterday. We had to be downtown at CHOP yesterday at 6:45 am! They took us right back into his own room. First the MA came in, then the RN then Dr Nance, then the anesthesiologist, Dr Black. Extremely nice and so accommodating. After he took his versed he was acting so silly. I got a funny video of him. After that kicked in, 2 nurses came in with his nurse and wheeled him out. When we were saying good-bye, he looked a little nervous. Ducky even went back with him. Ryan and I went to the cafeteria and had a nice breakfast! I even ran into one of my old co-workers. We went back to the waiting room and there were TVs, food and a list of the patients and where they were in the OR. It was like an airport waiting for a plane to arrive. After about an hour, Dr Nance came out and told us he did great and that he had a good sized hernia. He drained fluid too. A short time after that we went back to see him. He was completely asleep and not moving. Kinda scary. The nurse moved him a little and he woke up - completely fine. No tears like Shane had. He had the popsicle and after that we could go! I think we were in the car by 11:15. No vomiting, absolutely no tears. I was so impressed.

After surgery

This past Saturday, we went to Freddy Hill pumpkin patch!
