Quarantine 2020

Decided to hop on here to document these strange times.

Coronavirus hit and schools closed on March 12th. As of today, we are still on lockdown til June 4th. Ryan's working from home too and I'm not allowed to travel to see clients.

Boys are homeschooling which isn't too bad. They don't have a ton of work. The really sad part is little league is most likely cancelled. This was to be Brennan's last year. :(

Our hairdresser came last week to cut their hair - she was covered head to toe and cut outside.

We allow the boys to ride bikes with friends now. I meet up with some friends to sit outside.

We do a lot of Zoom calls! Got a lot done at the house. Everyone's slowing down......

My uncle passed away about 2 weeks ago (not due to Covid). It was unexpected. Hoping to have his funeral this summer.

Owen split his chin open about a month ago. We went to an urgent care and they glued it back! We were in and out. Boys are doing a lot of video gaming.

Scheduling porch pictures which are trending....more to come.

Summer/School 2019

In July, we went to Austin, TX for Jamie and Matt's wedding! Mimi and Pop came to watch the boys. We all went on the dinner cruise to see the bats on Thursday and Mimi and Pop took the boys to Schlitterbahn water park on Friday while we went to the beautiful wedding. Owen got lost at Schlitterbahn... but everything turned out okay.

On Saturday, we went to Magnolia Market in Waco!

On Sunday, we toured downtown Austin and had a great lunch at a Mexican restaurant. It was a great trip.

We had a weekend camping, a weekend at the Poconos, and met our new baby cousin, Rory.

Brennan went with Mimi to Denver to visit Patrick and Andrea. He had a great time and went to a Rockies game.

We went to the Outer Banks (Duck) in August with the Klocks, Cramps and Slowiks. Great time.

Brennan started middle school (!), Shane has Mr. Fikioris in 4th and Owen has Mrs. Harwick in 2nd.

2019

Yikes. Been a long while

Shane turned 9 in January. On his birthday, we took him, his brothers and 3 friends to Arnold's and they played. We had a family party as well. He got a hoverboard!

Brennan turned 11 in March. We went to Sea Isle for the weekend's St. Paddy's festivities so he got to bring 2 friends along for the night. Grandmaur had his family party a week after his birthday.

Nana has been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the lung. They have given her 3-6 months without treatment. :(

Christmas 2018

Christmas Eve we were all home. We got the boys a trampoline and Ryan put it together. The boys love it and are on it a lot.

Christmas Eve mass at the Basilica. Then to Andersons. We got home around 11.

Boys got up around 7:30 and we came downstairs around 8:30. Brennan got his iPhone, Shane got his crazy Nerf gun and Owen got his Yeezy shoes from Santa. Then to Mimi and Pops. Brennan also got a Chromebook, Shane got Nintendo Switch and Owen got another controller and headphones. Jack and Ann's for their famous annual dinner. Boys ate a ton and Owen won the ice cream challenge.

Moira was in over the break and took them to lunch and a movie. We had breakfast at the club this past Sunday. Brennan went to Hershey park and a sleepover for his friend's birthday.

A good time was had by all. Brennan and Shane said this was the best Christmas ever.

Brennan's Broken Wrist

Yesterday, after school, Brennan was on his scooter going down our steep driveway when he fell on his wrist the wrong way. Thankfully, Ryan was off from work and he saw Brennan fall. Ryan knew it was broken immediately. Brennan was pale and in a lot of pain. The drive to the hospital was painful because Brennan felt every bump. They took us right back but didn't give him any pain medication until after they reset it. He was brave during the IV placement too. He had a medication that made him loopy and we stepped out while they reset the bone. They casted him and gave him Advil. We were in the ER from 4:30-9:40.
