Christmas 2011

Christmas came and went so fast!!! I can't believe it's over. Brennan started with his cold this past Thursday and by Christmas Eve all 3 boys were sick and I was feeling like I was coming down with it too. No fevers, just runny noses and Brennan had a cough. Never a healthy Christmas!!
We had a great one. Christmas Eve was spent with the Andersons like always. They boys made out like crazy. Our house looks like Toys R Us. Christmas day Santa got Shane his kitchen, Brennan got a Leapster which he doesn't seem to like too much. Owen got a toy both his brothers liked at his age (aka we brought up an old toy). We didn't wrap a thing this year. Santa never wraps his gifts and everyone else got gift cards. We didn't get much for the boys. But boy, everyone else did.
We were opening gifts for hours at my parents house. Every toy they opened they obviously wanted to play with that second. Then they weren't interested in opening up another one. I'd rather them be like that than be greedy!
Their big gift (as if they need another one) is their swingset from both sets of grandparents. Ryan will order it and put it up in the spring.

Owen's Baptism

After much planning and somewhat stressing, Owen's baptism was absolutely beautiful. He had a wonderful day.

Father Ryan did the ceremony and Owen was the only one. He said a special prayer for Pop-Pop that I asked him to do right before the service. He was so kind and personal.

Owen Updates

Owen had his 4 month well check last Monday. He's 14lb 11 oz? I think. He has an appt with plastic surgery for his head shape in February. May need a helmet. I gave him a bite of oatmeal cereal last night. He made the usual what the h is this face. Of course I didn't get it on camera. Maybe tonight.

He rolled over on the table at the doctor's office! His sleep at night: up at least once. Last night, he went down around 9ish and got up at 12:30, went back down around 1:15 til 7! That was miraculous. The problem: he sleeps better in his swing at night. I don't want him to get in the habit of needing his swing to sleep. During the day, he takes great naps in his bed.

Shane is talking more. Putting two words together more too. He says, 'Pop moon' - my dad shows him the moon at night. Says 'wa wa' for water, hot for hot, snack - it sounds so funny! He's having a ton of tantrums. Terrible twos here we come! Brennan's into toilet talk now. He sang a song about how Momma poops at dinner last night. It was so funny I tried so hard not to laugh.

New York, New York!

We went to visit Auntie B and Uncle Russ this past Saturday. Had a great day. Went lunch, then to a huge candy store, then to FAO Schwartz. Spent the rest of the afternoon lounging in their amazing apartment. Here are a few pics. I don't know how to turn these around. Nicole - if you read this teach me how!
