Christmas 2012

We had our normal Christmas schedule. On Christmas Eve, Ryan worked, I had off. He was home by 1; we left for Maureen's at 3:30 and were home by 10.

On Christmas morning, we took a video of their reactions. Owen didn't really understand. He got a little house but isn't too interested in that. He got a truck that was a hit at Grandmaur's.  At Mimi's house, he got a Mickey doll which was very loved. His reaction was priceless. Brennan loves his remote control helicopter and Shane loved his Mack truck.

Yesterday, Ryan and I took Brennan and Shane to see Monsters Inc 3D! We went with Aunt Kristen, Emma and Alaina. I thought Brennan would not want to stay (due to being scared) and/or Shane would never sit in a seat for 2 hours. Well, they did awesome! Brennan wore the glasses the whole movie and Shane wore them for most of the movie. Neither of them moved the whole time. I was always nervous to bring them but happily surprised at how well they did!

Owen's first word!!

Owen said 'hi' to Auntie B on her birthday this past Monday, 12/3. He'll say it if I tell him too. He won't say it on his own. He'll make his own dog noise when asked what a dog or cat says (apparently they say the same thing!).

Shane is basically done with beeshes!!!! Yay! He did it on his own. Told me today that he's scared of falling in the potty and that's why he doesn't want to try to potty train. A year ago, he wouldn't have been able to tell me that. Progress! He got his evaluation at the IU today. He did great. The woman asked him to point to pictures and basically follow instruction. He did really well I thought. Waiting to see if he qualifies for speech services. No more naps for Shane! Today I didn't even try. He'll go in his bed and sometimes fall asleep but then have a difficult time sleeping at night.

Brennan's doing great in school. Just before I typed this, I told him what numbers to dial to call Pop. I didn't have to show him the numbers. Mrs Salazar told me that this past Monday, there was water on the floor. He told Mrs Salazar because he was worried she would slip and fall and get hurt. I find that's he pretty protective and worried if someone gets hurt. The age of 4 is definitely better than 3!!!

Thanksgiving, Christmas activities

I completely forgot to blog about Thanksgiving! Went to Mimi and Pop's this year. Shane didn't have a nap (which is common nowadays) so he was wild by dinner time. He didn't eat a thing and was running around like mad.

We went to see Christmas lights last Saturday night at this crazy house in Ambler. Owen loved it!!

Lastly, we went to Morris Arboretum today to see the Christmas trains. Again, Owen was enthralled!
