Shane and Brennan are doing Karate in Flourtown with the Chripczuks. They go twice a week for a half hour each and love it (specifically because of the boxing gloves they got).
Owen qualifies for speech therapy through the IU. The woman couldn't understand him during the evaluation and his stuttering has gotten more frequent. I think he started stuttering in June or July. Yesterday, I took him to see the pets at PetSmart and I asked him if he liked little dogs or big dogs. He couldn't get the word 'little' out of his mouth and got really upset. Although he needs an IEP for this, he obviously needs it.
Owen had a great first day of preschool. He cried going in and didn't want to go all morning. I put him on the floor and Mrs. Gillinger took him. I dropped Shane off (no problem whatsoever) and peeked in to check on Owen again. He was completely fine.
Shane and Owen had their first day of school with a parent. Shane was fine and followed the rules. Owen, not so much.....
And he's off! Without tears, without anxiety (today at least). Brennan had the 'goodest' day this past Sunday. We left the shore and he was so upset. He didn't want to leave. We got home and went to the pool. He took the test so he could go off the diving board. He was sooo proud of himself (I was too) and didn't get off the diving board for hours. Then, we went to the Toland's for a labor day party and Henry Hasty was there! He stayed up til 10! and had a blast...
Owen's been stuttering a ton. He has his speech eval next week.
Last Thursday, Brennan got to meet Ms. Oyemola! She couldn't be nicer :)
