Thank you St. Cajatan!

I've been looking for new job since October. I've had about 6 interviews. I learned about Saint Cajatan online of course as he's the saint of job seekers. I said my novena for 9 days. On the 9th day I hadn't heard anything. So I was disappointed. But, I had a peace about it and actually work became more bearable. I decided to not obsess over it and let the job come to me. This past Friday, I received 2 offers!!! Independence Blue Cross offered me a job but I'd have to go into the city for at least 6 months. I couldn't do that to the kids. A company called National Care Advisors also gave me an offer and it's work at home with occasional travel. I took it and start on February 3rd. I'll miss my CHOP friends but need something different (with more $$). Shane's been bored and I feel as though he'd benefit from being somewhere else during the day. I'm more concerned about Owen as he's such a homebody. Mimi will still have them 2 days a week and I'm going to visit daycares and a woman at her home this week.

So, this is my thank you to St. Cajatan! He answered my prayers through Jesus.

Wowsers. When I started this blog Shane was 10 months old! Time sure flies.

On Friday, Ryan, Mimi, Moira and I took the boys to Pump It Up for an hour of jumping/playing. Then went to pizza dinner.

Saturday, Grandmaur hosted Shaney's birthday party (pirate themed)!

Shane's 4 year stats: 35 lb 7oz, 3'6 (45th percentile for weight, 84th for height, 6th for BMI). Hearing test was normal!

And it's 2014!!!!

We had a really low key, nice new years. All 5 of us went to Café Lombardi's for dinner at 5, came home, got cozy and hung out! Owen was in bed at 7 (we are no longer napping at all), Shane was done by 8 and Brennan asked (!) to go to bed at 8:30. It was nice because Brennan, Ryan and I played his new games he got for Christmas. I was in bed at 10. On New Year's Day we went to the mall and went to Mimi and Pop's for dinner. Brennan went back to school on Thursday (much to Pop's dismay) and had off Friday for a snow day! Yesterday's temps were in the negatives (coldest in 20 years). Crazy winter thus far~

It is so neat to see Brennan learn to read. I cannot believe how far he's come from not even knowing how a letter sounds to reading words! He's starting to get frustrated at times but I'm amazed.

Shane's doing great in school. I can see some maturity with him too. Tantrums have decreased and when I ask him to do something he's good about it. But he was definitely the most mischievous child I've seen.

Owen's getting into the terrible 2's. He's still very sweet and innocent but he gives looks and sometimes can be difficult. I have to sign Shane and Owen up for preschool in September already and yesterday Mimi asked Owen if he wanted to go to school. He said, 'No, stay Mama.' How sweet.
