Last day of school :(

I just cannot believe it's Brennan's last day of preschool today. I am so sad about it!! He was happy to go today and didn't cling to me or anything. I wanted to cry today as I went to pick him up. I never got a card for the teachers to thank them. I may have to look up their addresses and send them a card. They were so great with him. He made such progress this past year. They sent home with us all the things we had to bring in the beginning of the school year. I brought diapers and wipes. Much has changed!

New Haircut

Ryan cut the boy's hair on Saturday. After it was done, Brennan says, "It doesn't look like Shooby anymore!" (Shooby is our nickname for Shane). It was so funny. He looks like a real boy now! At least it'll grow back, right??

Old haircut, very cute

New haircut :(

On May 17th, Brennan's school had the parents and families come to the school to see the class sing. Of course Brennan hardly sang or even participated correctly. It was funny and so Brennan. Mimi came to see him too. At one point, he left the concert and came to see our pictures of him. I videotaped the whole thing so Ryan could see it. This week is Brennan's last week until September!!! I think it was beneficial for him to go this past year.

Recently, Shane told me he wanted more milk by signing 'more' all by himself. I was so proud of him!

Brennan's been having a hard time limiting beeshy time. I told him at one point that the beesh fairy is coming to take it and will leave gifts for him. He was okay with this but then started getting scared at night. So Ryan now has to call the beesh fairy (in front of Brennan) every night and tell her not to come. I told him she won't come now. Instead, we'll go to Toys R Us and give his beeshes to someone there to give to babies and he gets to pick out a toy. But, he is nowhere near ready and I think I'll let him have it until after the baby comes.

Ryan began painting Shane's new room yesterday. Love the color. I was getting overwhelmed on Saturday when we were discussing all the things we have to get for Shane's room. Plus, we have to clean out the closets. Maybe I'm beginning to nest. Although I've never felt so tired. Only 10 more weeks to go!

Looking forward to summer!

It has been so nice out lately that I take the boys to the new playground down the street. Love that it's there! Brennan rides his bike there fine but on the way home he always gets 'tired.' So I end up pushing him plus Shane in the stroller. I don't know if this baby is going to stay in me until July 30th!

Recently, whenever Brennan sees a bug he 'roars' at it to scare it away. It's so funny. At my parent's house yesterday, Brennan wanted to take Sophie for a walk. So he did and at one point, Sophie took off running and Brennan fell hard on the pavement. Then, Brennan went to find his beesh and saw that Sophie ate most of it! So he told Sophie to go in time-out. He was so mad, it was hilarious.

Shane understands most things we say to him. Loves Mickey Mouse. Much more daring than Brennan. He doesn't seem to be as sensitive as Brennan.  He points at things and says 'eh' to get our attention. Now he's showing an interest in trucks. So I guess both my boys are into them! He's such a good boy.

This baby is so active. I think he/she is more active than the boys were. My heartburn is horrible and I'm having to take 2 zantacs a day. The OB doesn't know but I did the same thing with Shane. I had my glucose test done on Thursday. Hopefully that comes back fine. My fatigue seems to be getting worse. Yesterday I felt as though I had no energy whatsoever. I'm not sleeping as well either!! But it's all worth it in the end.

We went to the Enfield Carnival yesterday. They had a firetruck that Brennan was too shy to go on. We played on their playground instead. The boys loved it. Shane went down the big slide and went down way too fast. Thank god there was a woman standing there who caught him. Brennan wouldn't go down it!! Then Shane went down a second time (on his stomach).

Ryan is beginning to paint Shane's new room. He got the primer on there yesterday. I want Shane in his new room well before the new baby arrives.

Time out at school

It's kinda funny but Brennan had a time-out in school yesterday. When I picked him up he was he usual happy self (he's always happy when I get him after school). He went to say goodbye to Mrs. Vincent and I heard her say 'you'll listen on Thursday, right?' So I asked what happened. She said he didn't pick up the toys so he went in time-out. He told her he was too tired to clean up. She said it was hard not to laugh. So I didn't make an issue of it at school because Mrs Vincent said it's over, it's handled, that's our job. In the car, I spoke with him about it and he told me he didn't cry when he went in time-out. He did not seem remorseful in the least. I think this was the first time he got in trouble at school. I'm not positive though! He called Pop to tell him and Pop couldn't stop laughing which didn't help matters.

Ryan leased a new Honda Civic on Monday. The Accord was dying slowly. It was necessary unfortunately. So now we have 2 car payments and will need to replace the CR-V in the summer. I am picking up more shifts at work to help pay for all of this.

Shane is such a boy now. He's not a baby anymore :(. He had his 15 month well check last week. His weight has gone up and he's 75th percentile for length. They were crazy running around at the office. But we didn't wait long so it wasn't too bad. He's still not talking but Dr Limmer isn't concerned she said. He understands and points to make his needs known. Loves his binkie just like his brother. Oh boy...
