Done with speech! Swim Lessons

Reluctantly, Theraplay discharged Shane from speech. Couldn't understand why they were hesitant, they kept saying he doesn't know his opposites very well (?). Going to have CHOP evaluate him in July.

Swim lessons started this past Monday. Shane finally got in on Thursday and Brennan's been doing really well (as long as he has noodles to hold on to). We go to the pool most afternoons now. The kids swim in the baby pool. Ironically, Owen and Shane had a fever last week, soon after we started swimming...

Owen threw up last night in his crib and just now after dinner.  This has got to be a record for the amount of times a child can get the stomach bug!!

Owen's nap now starts at 11am and I get him up no later than 1. That's helped with the bedtime not getting too late. He loves his lovey, beeshie and blankie.

This past Saturday, Shane, Owen and I went up to NYC to celebrate Alexa's first birthday party. Pics to come!!

Shane has progressively been getting worse with his behavior. Does not do what you tell him to do, looking at you and laughing when he's being scolded, not staying in time-out, taking toys away from Owen, hitting, biting, not eating his dinner. Just to name a few....It's been really difficult.

To add onto that, the days when Owen naps, he's up til 10 at night. I've tried putting him down to bed earlier, not letting him sleep as long, etc etc. And still, he's up and out of the crib. The other boys would maybe be awake in their cribs but not get out of them. So on the mornings that he sleeps a little later, he won't get a nap that day. Days were he's up early, I put him for his nap at  11-12:30.

The Sabos came over for a playdate today. I took some pics at the end of Brennan & Emma because they both have new freckles. As I was uploading them, I remembered I have all these pics of the two of them from infancy together.

Duck, NC Vacation!

We left for Duck, NC the day after Brennan graduated from preschool. Mimi, Pop, Uncle Peter and Moira came too! Shane got a fever on Monday and didn't really feel like himself til Thursday. We rode bikes, went to the beach every day, went shopping, went out to eat, etc. It was really nice! The house was on the beach and had a movie theater, 50s inspired 'restaurant', billiard room and game room. It was sooo nice and I hope to stay there again!

Graduation

Wow, it's been awhile.

Brennan had his preschool graduation Friday, May 24. He sang the songs but didn't do any of the hand movements!

The Tuesday prior to this graduation, Brennan threw up at school. Mrs Salazar called me at work to come get him. He was as pale as a ghost and threw up multiple times at school but was improving as I drove him to Mimi's house. He was fine and went to school following day!
