Owen scooting, ER trip, Memorial Day

Owen officially started scooting last week.

Baby Noah was born on Friday, Baby Megan was born on Saturday!!

I visited Kristen and Noah on Saturday while Ryan did a ton of yardwork. The boys helped and watched Tom use his digger in the yard.

We had Tom and Michelle over for dinner on Saturday then we did smores with thier chiminea (sp?).

On Sunday, while I was at work, Owen fell off the tiny step outside with his walker. When I came home he was still crying and laying on my dad. I opened his mouth and decided to take him to the ED - he was fine. He started smiling on the way over there so I almost told Ryan to turn around. Ryan was concerned about his teeth. He looked so much better by Sunday. While we were at the hospital, the boys went out to eat with Mimi and Pop and helped Pop mow and clean. We went to the Andersons for a picnic on Sunday afternoon. The boys had a blast as always. We got to see Mary which was good but it also puts into perspective how sick she is.

On the way to the hospital

Monday we hung out here after going to the Arboretum. They boys love it there. Ryan got them a new pool and the rest of the afternoon was spent swimming. Owen ate spaghetti for the first time last night - he loved it!!!

Mothers Day, Brennan's gym show

Last weekend was Mothers Day. I worked both days. On Saturday, Mark and Maureen came over while I was at work. Then we went to Lewis' party. On Sunday, I was home by 10:45 so I relaxed here then to my mom's for dinner. Brennan made a handprint on a tile that is cute with a biblical saying around it. He answered questions about me too that were hilarious (he said I enjoy doing crafts (huh?), I'm so smart I even know how to drive a car, I'm as pretty as a princess). Cute.

On Wednesday, Brennan had a gym show at school. Mimi came too. Here's a clip from it:

Owen is pulling himself up. Only 1 more week of him wearing the helmet 23 hours then we are down to 12 hours! He still falls a lot when sitting so PT said his hips are weak.

Mother's Day - Brennan didn't want to participate :(

Cannot wait til that red spot is gone for good!

Brennan reading, Shane's ear

Brennan just 'read' all of "But No Elephants" book which I loved as a child. He remembered almost every word!! I couldn't believe it.

Mrs Vincent told me the other day that she was doing a project asking the kids questions. When asked who their friends were, they all included Brennan!!! That made me feel so good! She said he was a good friend. She pulled me aside to tell me this.

Shane has another ear infection. He woke up crying again so he saw Dr Tomaine who put him on amox (again) and ear drops. I called to question him about the amox because my practice would have put him on something stronger. He relayed that he thinks the amox and the drops should work. So I made an ENT appt just in case.

We found out Aunt Mary has tumors on the liver in addition to the pancreas. Ryan (and myself) have been very sad since hearing this. I just pray that everyone can get through this without too much sadness. I can't imagine what Tom, Tim and Matt are going through right now. She is such a great person.

Owen 9 months, Pocono weekend, Aunt Mary

Last weekend, Ryan did the Tough Mudder in the Poconos. The Lewis', Sabos, us and my parents stayed over in a large house. The kids had a great time with little sleep. Ryan did great, I didn't get to see him run but he did all the obstacles. We celebrated Emma's birthday and had a great time!

Yesterday, we had brunch for my mom while Ryan and Tom went to NJ to disassemble a swingset and bring it back. It's in our backyard not yet assembled. Brennan's going crazy! It didn't take them long. A guy Ryan works with let us have it as their kids are too old for it. They paid $3200 for it! I have to include that because we were looking to get a $400 one and could never imagine paying that amount so we are very fortunate. I'm so surprised how expensive they are.

On Saturday, my parents had their annual Kentucky Derby party so we took the kids there for a little and had dinner.

On Friday, Ryan got a call from his dad (crying) saying there is something on Mary's pancreas. Obviously everyone is thinking cancer. She is being transferred to Jefferson today. She's been having trouble eating and it got so bad that a sip of water caused her pain. We are all praying it's not cancer.

Owen on 5/2/12:

Owen's PT is down to every other week. He is starting to pull himself up to stand. No crawling or scooting yet. He is just precious. Such a good boy. Hardly cries. He loves to be held but is content to sit for a short time. He goes to sleep on his own. I always rocked Brennan and Shane so I feel guilty but I think he's a better sleeper because I didn't.

Owen's WCC: 18lb 14 oz, 2'4.13" - so he's 20% weight, 41% height. I'll have to see where Brennan and Shane were at his age.

There is still fluid in Shane's right ear. I cancelled audiology appt and will see Dr Limmer at the end of the month. If there's still fluid, we'll go to ENT. If not, I'll take him back to audiology.
