One Sick Halloween :(

Yesterday, I took Brennan to the minute clinic and he was diagnosed with an ear infection. He complained of pain once at 2 or so and I knew it would be a long night. Beth had come to visit so she went with me. Brennan was so good. I'm surprised it was red and bulging. He doesn't complain too much about ear pain.

Today, Shane woke up with 103 fever. He was up last night a few times with a croup cough. I thought he could have an ear infection too but Dr Belser said she thinks he's brewing something like a sinus infection so she started him on amox too. It's so sad because I haven't seen him this sick in a long time.

Poor Owen is getting sick too! He is happy and himself but I can tell he's getting congested.

Ryan is sick and now my throat is hurting! Oh joy. Ryan came home early from work which is awesome.

Brennan went to school today and had his Halloween parade and party. Beth helped me make witch hat cookies for his class. I forgot my camera so I had other people take pics of him for me.

School Updates

Brennan doesn't cry when going to school anymore! Yay!! He's still a little reluctant to go but once he's there, he whines but doesn't cry. Makes it so much easier to leave!

Shane's saying a lot more. He says 'puppy', 'mimi', 'pop', 'mama' all the time now. He even said 'dada' the other day when Ryan came home! He says and signs 'more.' It's so funny. It's like he finally found his voice.

Owen's such a cute little thing. He smiles and laughs and that is the best!! He's always looking to find a face and Brennan loves to make him smile. He always tells me to 'make Owen laugh.' I just wish he would sleep better at night :)

Owen's 2 months!

Time sure does fly. Owen was 2 months old on Sunday. He had his well check yesterday and is 11 lbs, 23 inches long. I took him along with Shane and Shane was a good boy. The only issue is the shape of Owen's head. It's mis-shapen in the front (not where you would expect it to be). But, he's developmentally appropriate and no other concerns so Dr Limmer wanted him to see plastic surgery for a possible helmet. I called to make the appt and they won't see anyone younger than 6 months. So Dr Limmer said she'll follow him herself. Don't know what she would do about it but I don't have a choice.


He sleeps still 7-12ish then up again around 3 or 4. Ryan's been bringing him downstairs and sleeps on the couch while he is in his swing. Brennan's been getting up at 5:30 recently. Don't know why!!!

Brennan's doing better when we leave at school. Mrs Vincent just takes him and he hasn't cried in awhile. He just asked me if he doesn't clean up will the policeman come? So I said yes and he started to clean up!!! Ha.

Shane's speech therapist comes today. He's doing really well and does better for her. He tries to say more and is signing. I still can't understand him but Ms. Kelli says that's okay.
