Updates

Owen has the most beautiful curls at the nape of his neck. The top part of his hair is poker straight like Shane's. Ryan has wavy hair so that's where this is coming from. He hasn't had a haircut yet because I don't want the curls to go!

He's pointing to things and yelling to get us to get him something. He loves toothbrushes and my pans. He'll walk around with one all the time. He's walking great and last week, he was discharged from PT. He doesn't use sign language like Shane did. Mostly because he doesn't like the video! He gets shy around strangers. Loves his 'lovey' blanket with his name on it and carries it from his crib downstairs after a nap or in the morning. He's an ok eater, not great. Loves to turn the light switch off in his room. I rock him at night before bed; he just cuddles into me and knows the routine. I love that time with him! He goes right into his bed and wakes up around 7. I've never had to sleep train him.

Shane. Still in speech. I have a meeting next week to see about getting services when he's 3. Not sure if he totally needs it but I still have a hard time understanding him. Nowhere near potty training or getting rid of beesh. Nap everyday for 2 hours even if he doesn't fall asleep. Getting to be a challenge in that he's hitting Owen a lot, calls people 'skinky poo' (thanks to Brennan), gets in time out a lot, talks back. Welcome to the terrible twos! Dinner is a nightmare with him. He won't eat his dinner so he doesn't get dessert until he sees Brennan eating dessert than he'll try to eat dinner. Loves his 'blue blanket.' Loves going to the Sabos and plays really well with Alaina. He'd be fine if someone watched him that he wasn't too familiar with. He follows Brennan around a lot and copies nearly everything he says but at other times wants to be alone doing his own thing.

Brennan. He's doing great in school!!! Loves it. But, everyday we have to remind Mrs Salazar that he doesn't like it when everyone screams. She told me the other day that he was actually one of the screamers. Once he tells her that, he's cool. It's as if he has to have something to worry about. I'm so proud of him with school. He helps me a lot with Owen. He's getting to be a good listener and will do as I ask of him. He's finally rid of beesh completely and it was pretty much painless. He still sleeps with duckie which is fine with me - I'm not ready for him to give duckie up! He eats all his dinner every night. We read books in our room before bed then he gets into bed with prayers and a song and he wants us to 'check' on him in 1 minute (which we usually don't do) then he's asleep so fast. He has long days with a small break of watching TV. He's a nervous ninny I call him. We go to the dentist today and he's been nervous about it since he found out last night. Never has had a needle there or anything scary. Like I said, he has to worry.
