I don't have any pictures from Father's Day but it was a nice day. Ryan got our new car, a minivan on Saturday while I worked. On Sunday I worked again and then we went to my parents for dinner. The boys spent the whole weekend at their house basically. When I came to pick them up after work on Saturday, Brennan was riding on the tractor (with big headphones on) with his Pop. He was so proud. He just loved it. It was so cute. So on Sunday, Pop had to bring the tractor out again and he let Brennan steer the wheel. They almost crashed into all the trees but it was really cute. I wish I had a picture!! After dinner on Father's Day, the boys rough-housed with Pop for awhile. They loved jumping on him. Dad was all scratched up after it was over.
This past Saturday, we went to Lancaster (Strasburg) to see Thomas. It only took us an hour to get there. As we were getting closer, we spotted Thomas and Brennan went crazy. He said he didn't believe me that we were going to see the 'real' Thomas. We got on the train and the boys were in heaven. We went past horses and cows. It was a short ride but it was cute. Then we ate lunch outside and went to get them a toy at the overpriced toy store. After that, they had train tables set up for kids to play and we went onto an old Amtrak train. We were done by noon! So we cancelled our hotel reservations and were home by 5. I was exhausted. We were going to go to Dutch Wonderland but after driving past it, I was not impressed and would rather spend the $$ at Sesame Place.
Shane is getting so big. He loves to put shoes on all the time. He tries to do everything Brennan does. He still isn't talking so I'm sure we'll get him evaluated for speech at his next check-up. He understands and is so smart. He loves to put buckets on his head. It is soo funny. I just want to bottle up his cuteness. He also does this little dance where he shakes his shoulders. Ryan says he got it on video. I was looking at pictures of Brennan when he was small and I couldn't believe how much he's changed.
I go every week now to the OB. They start internals this week. I cannot believe I only have 5 weeks to go. This has gone by way too fast. But I am so uncomfortable now that I am ready to be done with pregnancy. I can't wait to meet my new baby. I don't feel as scared as I did with the boys.
